In the meantime, check out the many resources on the Web and at your local Public Library.

Refresher/Sustaining Classes

A new program this year is a series of refresher/sustaining classes held in some of the "off" months, alternating with the regular 4th Tuesday club meetings (Feb., Apr., June, Oct.).  These classes focus on more extensive treatment of subjects introduced in the Beginers Course and of greater interest to the established (second year and beyond) beekeeper.

These classes are held in the Falls Church High School Cafeteria From 7 to 9 PM and are open to all current members of BANV (see For Information).

February - Spring Management and Swarm Control.

April - Extracting, Bottling, and Labeling Your Golden Liquid, Cut Comb & Cassettes, and Creamed Honey.

June - Open Discussion - This Year's Nectar Flow, Harvesting, Re-Queen?.  Bring Questions or Problems.

October - Fall and Winter Management - Splits, Nucs, Re-Queening.
